Our chocolate espresso oak floating shelves are natural oak wood veneer on multi layered solid poplar core for ultimate strength and dimensional stability. Finished with premium quality low-sheen clear conversion varnish over our proprietary chocolate espresso stain. All shelves are made to order. (minimum size is 3" X 9", maximum is 16"X 93")

The botanical name of our native Oak here in America is Quercus rubra, commonly known as Red Oak. The wood is blonde with a slight pink cast to it. The botanical name of White Oak is Quercus alba, and is also known as American White Oak.
